Acumen's Session on How I stopped worrying, and started working with the Government |

India has emerged as a lab for social innovation with a myriad of mission-driven businesses developing transformative, financially sustainable innovations aimed at solving social problems. These innovations often seek to address similar issues as the government, such as sanitation, education and healthcare. Despite this, there are few shining stars when it comes to effective collaboration between government, innovators and the non-profit sector.

This session will focus explore the yet-to be harnessed opportunity to leverage public and private resources to generate cost-effective innovations that address the most challenging social problems. It will shed light on the cultural and contextual challenges faced by different stakeholders when trying to work across sectors, the expectations that different players have when entering agreements to work together, and attempt to identify solutions / options to manage these expectations.
